Elephant Sanctuary, 6 October 2007

With Sally being the efficient and effective planner, the trip is finally set on the 6 October. 3 of us plus lil J and Alim began our journey by meeting at Sally's place at 9am. James was there with Mimi to see us off (ahahhaha. He can't go with us as much as he would like to). Our first destination was for lunch near the foothill of Genting. This place is famouse for their ginger and groundnuts. Lunch was deep fried stir pork, rice-wine chicken and vege. The pork was fantastic and the rice wine chicken was the best I've tasted in KL (almost as good as my mom's). Red bananas...
Then, we proceed to our next destination, the Elephant Sanctuary @ Kuala Gandah. At about 1pm, we see...
The activities only starting at 2pm. We had one hour to kill. So, we walked to the orang asli kampung just a few steps away. The bored faces of Sally and May while waiting...
Finally we see the elephants walking out... Feeding the elephants... Yucky elephant food... Their favourite were the bananas we brought... Elephant rides... Baby elephants.. Baby elephants in the river... Elephant "adventure ride"...
